Vice-President Kashim Shettima has declared that President Bola Tinubu’s performance in office positions him strongly for re-election in 2027.

Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Executive Council meeting in Abuja, Shettima emphasized that electoral victories are earned through political structures, leadership credibility, and coalitions, not online debates or social media noise.
He stated that Tinubu’s experience and record make potential challengers unlikely to succeed, adding:
“With the experience of our president as our shield and the lessons of the past as our guide, I believe that 2027 is not a gamble; it is a responsibility.”
Shettima acknowledged Nigeria’s democratic system allows all eligible citizens to contest elections but expressed confidence in the APC’s leadership base and governance record as the party prepares for the 2027 polls.
