The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed June 26 for the release of access codes that will enable political parties to upload candidates’ details for the 2027 general elections.

INEC Chairman, Joash Amupitan, made the announcement this Tuesday during a quarterly meeting with leaders of registered political parties in Abuja.
Amupitan said the access codes would be issued to authorised national officers of political parties following the completion of party primaries on May 30.
He urged parties to ensure their ICT personnel are fully prepared, warning that the nomination portal is automated and will close automatically at the expiration of the submission deadline.
