Hon. Dame Blessing Nwagba, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate for Abia South in the 2023 General Election and Abia State Coordinator of the Nigerian League of Women Voters, has congratulated the newly-elected executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, led by Hon Chijioke Chukwu, who was unanimously elected chairman of the party in the state.
In her message of goodwill, the former two-term member of the Abia State House of Assembly,, reaffirmed that the APC in Abia State will deliver President Bola Tinubu and all candidates of the party in the 2027 general election, commended the peaceful and successful conduct of the congresses, from ward to state level, describing the process as a strong demonstration of internal democracy and party unity. She lauded party leaders and members for their maturity, discipline, and commitment throughout the exercise.
The State Congress, held on 3rd March 2026 in Umuahia, the capital of Abia State, brought together party faithful from across the state to elect leaders who will steer the affairs of the party in Abia State.
Hon. Nwagba, who delivered the keynote address at the State Congress, charged the newly-elected executives to see their emergence not merely as a victory, but as a call to service. She urged them to embrace inclusive leadership, strengthen grassroots mobilisation, and work tirelessly to reposition the party for greater electoral success in future contests.
Hon Nwagba appreciated the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu, for his sterling leadership qualities that saw to the successful congresses. While advocating women inclusion, she appreciated the LOC and the supervisor from the APC headquarters for competently handling the task.
She further encouraged party stakeholders to rally behind the new leadership, emphasizing that unity, discipline, and collective responsibility remain essential ingredients for the party’s progress.
Hon. Nwagba also reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to the growth and advancement of the APC in Abia State and pledged her continued support toward building a stronger, more formidable party.
