It was a joyous and festive occasion at the Country Home of Chief Israel Amanze, Amankwo, Mbutu Ngwa, when the representatives of the executives and members of Abia Grassroot Movement gathered in their large numbers to mark their 16th Grassroots Annual Executive Retreat .
The event commenced with the official swearing in of new state executives proudly led by Dr Onyemachi Onwuka, an agriculturist, who pledged to work assiduously for the growth and development of the group.
In his welcome address, Hon. Chief Israel Amanze who is the Chairman, Board of Trustees of Abia Grassroot Movement reeled out the achievements of the group over the last 16 years and also used the opportunity to thank the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Benjamin Kalu PhD LL.D ,CFR for a warmth welcome and also subsequent integration of the group in his activities.
In their various reactions, the members Abia Grassroot Movement thanked Hon Amanze for his quintessential mentorship and prayed that God will continue to bless and protect him in all his endeavours.
An Agronomist Mr Chukwuemeka Nwadibia from the Abia ADP presented a lecture of successful Agribusiness enterprise in Abia state.
The highpoint of the event was distribution of rice and other valuables to the members to usher the New Year.
