The Abia Grassroots Farmers Movement of Abia state on Wednesday march 4, paid a solidarity visit to the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, His Excellency Rt Hon Dr Benjamin Kalu at the Renewed Hope Secretariat at No 37 Ojike Street Umuahia on March 4, 2026.
The delegation came and registered the full support of Abia Grassroots farmers to ensure the RE-ELECTION of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027.
The Delegation was made up of 31 state and Zonal officers of the Group, 17 LGA coordinators of Abia movement plus representatives of ward Coordinator, women and Youth leaders from the 17 Local Government Areas of Abia state.
Speaking through the Board of Trustees Chairman, Hon Amanze Israel the group expressed appreciation to the Deputy Speaker for giving them the opportunity to demonstrate their unwavering support for the president and for all the support the group has enjoyed from the deputy speaker.
They used the opportunity to showcase the Grassroots coverage, mobilisation ability and voters strength of the group which has enjoyed 16 solid years of unbroken and impactful existence in the state,
Receiving the group on behalf of the Deputy speaker, the Director General of the Ben Kalu Organizations, Hon Pastor Emma Trumps Eke informed them that the deputy speaker knows and appreciates the capacity Abia Grassroots movement and is prepared to work with them as partners to deliver the president in the state. He expressed his pleasure that the Grassroots movement is a truely Organic farmers association working hard to contribute to the development of the state and assured them they will always be remembered and contacted anytime the government wants to reach out to geniune farmers.
The newly elected APC chairman from Isiala Ngwa Barrister Chila Uhuaba also called in to appreciate and identify with the group.
Other prominent personalities that graced the occasion included Chief Chinatu Njoku, Patron, Christian Amamba BOT member, Dr Onyemachi Onwuka, State chairman, Engr Chinwendu Chigbu, state secretary and Chief Awa C Awa, state Director of Training and Manpower Development
and a host of LGA representatives from 17 LGAs of Abia state.
