Legal representatives of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have today, 28th April 2026, formally approached the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), urging a prompt and decisive ruling on the lingering Supreme Court case involving David Mark and Nafiu Bala.
The delay in delivering judgement has begun to attract widespread concern within political and legal circles, as stakeholders await clarity on a matter considered crucial to the party’s internal stability and future direction.
In their communication to the CJN, ADC lawyers emphasised the urgency of the situation, noting that prolonged judicial inaction could deepen uncertainty within the party and potentially affect the broader democratic landscape. They stressed that timely justice is not only a constitutional expectation, but also essential for maintaining public confidence in the judiciary.
The party maintains that a swift resolution of the case will provide much-needed clarity, restore order within its ranks, and enable it to focus fully on its political engagements ahead of upcoming electoral activities.
