As the 2027 general elections draws nearer , one factor puts smile on the lips of the patriotic constituents of Obingwa/Ugwunagbo/Osisioma / Federal Constituency.
Their euphoria is that the time marks the begining of the end of mutism faced by the constituency since Labour Party(LP) began it’s abysmal representation at the Green Chambers in 2023.
Three years down the memory lane ,the constituency has suffered deprivation of it’s share of the National cake as the voice elected to be speaking for the constituency is absolutely silent.
There must be an end to this grave silence .
To achieve that, the constituency needs an experienced , representative to rescue it from the unfocused representative of LP.
The realities on the ground make the 2027 general elections a time for no further experiment of a rookie but a period to choose the best from among the contenders.
The choice must not be short of one with the requisite legislative know-how ,reach and passion to rescue the constituency.
Among the contenders is an illustrious son of Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Rt Hon Bishop Kennedy Azubuike Njoku,a member of All Progressive Congress (APC).
Beyond the party line,he is unarguably the man the cap fits .
Bishop Kennedy Njoku as a member of APC who stands out in building of the largest ,most disciplined and united party in the state and Nigeria,gives him edge over other contenders in the race from within APC and other various political parties.
He was an erstwhile Speaker Abia State House of Assembly, a legislative veteran, an ICT expert , an oil mogul and a high priest of an international Christian Church(The Latter day Saint ) .
His wealth of experience abounds. As a legislator in Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Bishop Kennedy Njoku chaired two sensitive committees.
The house committee on appropriation and that of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. He was outstanding in performances in these committees .
His antecedents in his 8 years(2015-2023) representation of the good people people of Osisioma Ngwa North State constituency at Abia state House of Assembly ,was purposeful and eventful leadership.
He is a very accessible grassroot Leader .
His administrative sagacity left landmark legacies in the Church as a Bishop and President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saint.
Rt Hon Bishop Kennedy Njoku is man of many parts. He is indeed a round peg in the round hole in parliamentary duties.
The support for Rt Hon Bishop Kennedy will absolutely and appropriately provide the needed answer for the yearning of a sound and robust representative of Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo in the green chambers come 2027.
This therefore , requires the collaborative efforts of the entire Constituents .
Concerted efforts of the rational constituents will need to be backed up with reasonable and responsive actions.
This further demands that when the political ban is lifted ,the electorates are duty-bound to vote massively for him and protecting such mandate for Rt Hon Bishop Kennedy Njoku.
Obviously, these are the panaceas for bringing the aspiration of quality Representation of the good and hardworking people of Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency to reality.
The Constituents need no soothsayer now to believe that ,2027 general elections is a good time to Make hay when the sun Shines.
