Senate President Godswill Akpabio has withdrawn all defamation suits he filed against several individuals.
Akpabio announced the decision this Thursday at the Sacred Heart Parish in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, saying a priest’s sermon inspired his action.
He revealed he had filed nearly nine cases, stating, “I had almost nine cases in court against some individuals who defamed me, who lied against me, who slandered my name.”
He added, “I hereby direct my solicitor to withdraw all lawsuits against them,” effectively ending all defamation-related cases involving him.
