Troops of the Joint Task Force Northwest, Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY), in collaboration with security agencies and local vigilantes, have eliminated suspected terrorists and rescued 62 kidnapped victims in Kebbi and Zamfara states.

In Kebbi, troops ambushed members of the Lakurawa terrorist group at Kerani Village, Augie LGA, killing two suspects and recovering two motorcycles and equipment used for long-range movement.

In Zamfara, OPFY forces raided Munhaye Forest, a hideout of bandit leader Kachalla Alti, rescuing 62 captives who are now in safe custody. The operations reflect ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks and restore security in the North-West.
