Fighters of the Boko Haram faction loyal to Ali Ngulde have reportedly beheaded two women in the Mandara Mountains, Gwoza LGA, Borno State, accusing them of shirk (idolatry).
Sources said the women were found with charms, which the insurgents claimed were evidence of forbidden practices. After a makeshift trial, the women were taken to a secluded area and executed publicly to instill fear and enforce the group’s doctrines.
The Ali Ngulde faction has recently intensified punitive actions, targeting those accused of sorcery, spying, or attempting to defect.
