Canadian rapper Drake has lost $200,000 after betting on YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul to defeat Anthony Joshua.
Paul suffered a knockout loss in the sixth round of their bout in Miami on Friday night, with Joshua emerging victorious. Drake had earlier shared his wager on Instagram, backing Paul to win.
The rapper stood to earn about £1.2 million ($1.64 million) if Paul had won the fight. However, the loss adds to Drake’s poor record in sports betting.
Last year, he also reportedly lost $355,000 after betting on boxing legend Mike Tyson to beat Jake Paul.
