Former Ondo State First Lady Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu has thrown her support behind Peter Obi for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential ticket.
Her backing comes amid a debate between Obi supporters and those of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over the party’s flagbearer.
The ADC leadership has urged members to avoid promoting division ahead of its June primaries.
Party officials say unity is key, especially with talks on possibly moving the 2027 election earlier, which could create both risks and opportunities for the party.
