Ben Duncan, a close friend of Prince William and a former Big Brother star, has died after reportedly falling 100 feet from the rooftop of a West London hotel. He was 45.

Duncan, who became friends with Prince William and Kate Middleton during their time at St Andrews University, was said to be part of the royal couple’s “inner circle.”
According to police, the incident occurred on October 30 at the Trafalgar St. James Hotel in Westminster. Officers were called to the scene after reports of “a man on the roof,” but Duncan is believed to have fallen before they arrived.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said the death was being treated as “unexpected but non-suspicious.” Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance trauma team attended the scene, but Duncan was pronounced dead despite their efforts.
In a 2010 interview, Duncan had reflected on his university friendship with the royal couple, recalling how he noticed early on that William and Kate “had hit it off.”
