Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has directed the people of the State, particularly eligible voters in the Ahoada East and Khana Local Government Areas, to participate actively in the bye-elections on Saturday.

A statement signed by Onwuka Nzeshi, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor described the election as a “family affair.”
He specifically called on the electorate to turn out in large numbers to support the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) contesting for the two vacant seats in the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Emphasising the importance of a peaceful transition, the Governor charged the people to remain law-abiding throughout the exercise.
Governor Fubara noted that the stability of the state remains a priority and urged residents to conduct themselves with utmost decorum.
