Igbo Heritage Awards Concepts has unveiled a captivating teaser ahead of the 2026 edition of the epic event billed to hold in Owerri on April 10 and 11. The video, which spotlights some iconic patriots of Igbo extraction cutting across generations and professions, underscores the strategic nature of the event.
It showcases IHA not just as a unifying festival of Origin and Renaissance, but a distinguished capstone honour celebrating the legendary courage, resilience, dignity, culture, collective empowerment and universal greatness of Ndi Igbo.
Themed ‘History, Heritage and Renaissance in Igbo land: Imperatives for Socio-Cultural and Economic Transformation’, it features the Igbo heritage exhibitions, a colloquium, a spectacular bouquet of entertainment and recognition Awards.
Revered elder statesman and former President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Nze Ozichukwu Fidelis Chukwu shall be the Keynote Speaker at the Colloquium while the Chairman of South East Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Majesty, Eze (Dr) E. C. Okeke (CFR), shall be the Royal Father of the Day.
It is officially endorsed by the Imo State Ministry of Tourism, Hospitality and Culture, South East Council of Traditional Rulers and Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide (Imo State Chapter) among others.
