Senator Chris Adighije, who represented Abia Central Senatorial Zone in the 5th National Assembly, has expressed confidence that Bola Tinubu will record sweeping victories in Abia State, the South-East and other parts of the country.
Senator Adighije made this known while addressing members of the All Progressives Congress in Umuahia South, at his country home in Olokoro.
He said the performance of President Bola Tinubu in office has earned him increased nationwide support, adding that the President now enjoys more goodwill among Nigerians than he did during the 2023 general elections.
On the forthcoming APC congresses, Senator Adighije challenged party members to vote out non-performing party executives while carefully choosing credible and capable individuals to lead the party.
The former lawmaker also alleged that there were plans by some individuals within the APC to blackmail and force him out of the ruling party, but insisted that such plots would fail.
Clarifying speculations, Senator Adighije stated that his daughter, Jenifer Adighije, who currently serves as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company, is not contesting for the House of Representatives or any other elective office, but remains fully focused on her professional responsibilities.
