The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has banned Indomie Vegetable Flavour noodles after detecting undeclared allergens, milk and eggs, which pose health risks to allergic consumers.

The ban follows a recall notice issued by France’s food safety authority, Rappel Conso. NAFDAC said the risk of the product entering Nigeria is low due to the country’s ban on noodle importation but warned of possible illicit entry through online purchases or travel.

The agency has ordered nationwide surveillance and urged consumers to avoid the product, discard it if found, and report sightings or adverse reactions to NAFDAC.
