The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has warned Nigerians to ignore fake offers claiming that forfeited vehicles are being sold at cheap prices through the agency.

The warning was issued this Friday in Abuja by the agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, who said fraudsters were using the names of senior NDLEA officials to deceive the public.

The agency said no official has the authority to privately sell or allocate forfeited vehicles, adding that all such assets are disposed of only through public auctions conducted by approved auctioneers.

NDLEA urged the public to ignore such messages and report them to the nearest NDLEA command or through the agency’s official communication channels, stressing that all legitimate auctions would be publicly advertised.
