Loyalists of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike have approached the Federal High Court in Abuja to nullify the PDP’s November 15–16 national convention in Ibadan.

In the suit (FHC/ABJ/CS/2501/2025), Wike’s camp, including Acting National Chairman Mohammed Abdulrahman and National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu, wants the court to declare the convention and all resulting decisions “null and void” and stop INEC from recognising its outcomes.

The plaintiffs argue the convention ignored three prior Federal High Court judgments restraining such party activities. They also allege attempts by the Damagum-led faction to forcefully take control of PDP offices in Abuja.

They are seeking court orders to:

Prevent INEC and security agencies from recognising the convention;

Stop rival officials from acting as PDP officers;

Compel protection and access to party offices;

Block changes to the PDP’s official address.

The case has not yet been assigned to a judge, and no hearing date has been set.
