Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first player to score in six different FIFA World Cup tournaments.

The 41-year-old achieved the feat this Tuesday after scoring in Portugal’s World Cup group match against Uzbekistan in Houston, United States.

Ronaldo’s goal came six minutes into the game, ending a run of 10 major tournament matches without a goal and giving Portugal an early lead.

Recall that the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus forward scored his first World Cup goal in 2006 against Iran and has now found the net in six separate editions of the tournament.
