Soludo Sacks Political Appointees After Second-Term Inauguration

Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, has directed all political appointees to hand over their duties with immediate effect, less than 24 hours after his inauguration for a second term.

The directive was contained in a circular issued this Wednesday, by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Nwabufor Nwankwo.

According to the circular, affected appointees are to hand over to Permanent Secretaries or the most senior civil servants in their Ministries, Departments and Agencies before the close of work the same day, pending the formation of a new cabinet.

The government also directed all first-term cabinet members to meet with the governor on March 23 at 10 a.m. at the State Executive Council Chambers for further engagements.
