Gov. Alex Otti’s reelection is becoming very gloomy with the unresolved leadership crisis in the Labour Party. While the government is putting up a pseudo stance to convince the people that all is well, the actions of the governor say otherwise. One of many is why he didn’t lead from the front in his factional Labour Party’s e-registration exercise.
Perhaps Otti didn’t want to be caught up by the amended electoral Act of Party membership.

Last week, his proxies were in the United Kingdom lobbying close associates of the President to pave the way for him to join APC, though locally, he tells his followers that he is not joining the party.
What has compounded his problem is the peaceful outcome of the Abia APC congress, which the Governor never imagined would be so smooth.
The acceptance and mass defection into Abia APC is causing the Abia Government sleepless nights, as their permutations for 2027 are becoming weak and unpredictable.
Abia is one of the few states APC is set to capture, with the daily growth of new members and the unity being witnessed in the party under the current leadership of Hon Chijioke Chukwu and entire leadership of Abia APC
