When Doguwa decided to parade himself as the face of our poverty of thought, all I felt was a bitter sense of amusement. He is the perfect poster boy for the engine of misery and failure, that Nigeria is. How is, his very pedestrian, linear rant qualify as thought? I feel battered by his violation of the house floor.

Parenting is high intensity operation. Can a man really be there for 27 children and counting? Can Doguwa give all 27 good education? The costs of raising children are not just financial. Parenting resources are finite, where will he get the time and love to share to be a good dad? In post agrarian societies, children are no longer economic assets that can be put to work but economic liabilities. Doguwa most certainly will contribute to lowering the indices of development through his unrestrained sexual urge.

He may be deluded in his virility and power but we are sad. He does not see the hypermodernity that is driving societies globally. He is a caveman. I feel so unfortunate that a man whose level is only six degrees removed from Australopithecus hominid is a Nigerian legislator.

Can Doguwa read to his children? Can he afford good schools for his children. Can he give them the kind of nutrition that will keep their IQ above room temperature? Can he give one to one attention that is required to build future relationships, provide emotional security and life satisfaction to these children? Here is a man who will need an Ekene Dili Chukwu bus to move his family from point A to B. Doguwa is a danger to Nigeria and the very definition of disaster to the North.

With people like Doguwa at the helm, we have problems!
