Erudite scholar, wordsmith, prose stylist and communication strategist, Godwin Adindu, has been appointed as the Managing Director, MD/CEO of the Abia State Structures for Signage and Advertizing Agency (ABSSAA), by Governor Alex Otti.
ABSSAA is the government agency responsible for regulating and controlling outdoor advertising, signage displays and mobile branding permits in Abia State.
Governor Alex Otti said the appointment is with immediate effect.
Adindu, Publicity Secretary of the Abia State Chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Adjunct Lecturer in the Mass Communication Department of Clifford University, former pioneer DG of the Abia State Orientation Agency(ABSOA) and former Chief Press Secretary, is coming into the job with over four decades of media practice, academics and government spokesmanship.
A seasoned print media journalist, Adindu honed his career in Public Relations/Advertising with the C&F Porter Noveli as a Senior Manager, Media Services between 2004 and 2007 and later served with another Agency, TAIJOWUNAKABE LImited, as the Head of Custom Media, between 2007 and 2009. He currently doubles as the Managing Partner of Goodwill Communication Limited and as Executive Director with Quints Marketing Solutions Limited, an experiential marketing Agency.
An alumnus of Andrews University, Michigan, USA, Adindu also holds an Msc in Media and Communication from the Pan Atlantic University and a post graduate diploma in Public Policy Analysis from the University of Calabar. He also trained with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in Specialized Political/Election Reporting.
