The Kogi state governorship and Mr. Dino Melaye and Smart Adeyemi Senatorial elections are to be held the same day according to timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The commission said both elections will be held on November 16.
Mr. Festus Okoye, INEC National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee, in a statement on Monday say the fixing is as a result of the nulliflcation of the Kogi West Senatorial District election conducted on 23” February 2019 by the Election Petitions Tribunal and its subsequent affirmation by the Court of Appeal which ordered the Commission to conduct a fresh election within 90 days.
