Former presidential candidate, Peter Obi
Former Minister of State for Health, Fidelix Nwankwo, has expressed confidence that Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi will win the 2027 presidential election.

Naija News reports Nwankwo made the declaration on Friday in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, during the NDC primary elections held across the state’s 13 local government areas. He maintained that Obi would secure victory at the next presidential poll and claimed that the outcome would not be overturned.

The former chairman of Izzi Local Government Area also repeated his belief that Obi was denied victory in the 2023 presidential election. According to him, many Nigerians, particularly young people and women, are dissatisfied with the current economic situation and are prepared to participate actively in the next election process.

He said, “Obi’s anticipated victory will not be taken away again. He was robbed of victory during the 2023 presidential election. But votes will not be stolen again. He will win in 2027.”

He said the hardship being experienced by many citizens has increased the determination of voters to not only cast their ballots but also ensure that their votes are protected throughout the electoral process.

Nwankwo stated that the NDC is already laying the groundwork for future elections and is focused on building a strong political structure across the country.

He explained that the primary elections were organized to select candidates who would represent the party in various contests, including the presidency, governorship positions and seats in the National Assembly.
