As campaign for 2027 Abia Central Senatorial zone contest intensifies, one familiar name that is attracting renewed attention is Rep. Emeka Atuma, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Abia Central Senatorial Zone.
The zone which comprise, Ikwuano, Isiala Ngwa North, Isiala Ngwa South, Osisioma Ngwa, Umuahia North and Umuahia South, has a long history of political participation and community development.
Be that as it may, Atuma’s candidacy enters that landscape with an unusual feature namely previous experience inside the National Assembly.
He represented Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007, where he served as chairman House Committee on Environment and Ecological Matters.
