The Nigeria Democratic Congress has dismissed reports of primary election results allegedly circulating in its name, describing them as fake and misleading.
The party said this Thursday in a release signed by its National Secretary, Ikenna Enekweizu.
NDC said its primaries are scheduled to hold on May 29, 2026, making it impossible for any authentic results or winners to have emerged already.
The clarification followed rumours that activist Aisha Yesufu had lost the party’s ticket for the Federal Capital Territory senatorial seat.
The party urged Nigerians to disregard any unverified results, insisting it remains committed to conducting a transparent and credible primary election process.
