Engr. Chinedu Onyeizu, a frontline aspirant for the Abia South Senatorial seat, has taken note of the recent defection of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe to the Labour Party.
In a statement issued by his media team, Onyeizu reiterated that the new Labour Party remains an open and accommodating platform, firmly guided by its principles, values, and commitment to people-centred governance.
“The Labour Party is a broad platform, but it is not without standards. Every member, regardless of status, must align with the party’s ideals and its commitment to the collective good of the masses'” Onyeizu stated.
He emphasised that while the party welcomes new entrants, its growth and credibility must be anchored on discipline, loyalty, and a shared vision for genuine service as exemplified by our leader, HE Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.
According to him, experience within the party should be channelled towards strengthening its structures and advancing the collective interest, not personal ambition.
Onyeizu further encouraged well-meaning Nigerians particularly the people of Abia South, to join the Labour Party, describing it as the true party of the masses, committed to equity, accountability, and inclusive governance.
He reaffirmed his commitment to principled, issue-based political engagement and to work with all members to build a strong, united, and credible Labour Party that puts the interest of the masses first.
