The Paramount Ruler of Okahia Kingdom in Obingwa Local Government Area, His Royal Majesty, Eze Okey Jacob Ananaba (Okahia I), has extended his warm congratulations to the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, on the occasion of his third anniversary in office.

In a statement issued from his palace to mark the milestone, the revered traditional ruler and industrialist described Governor Otti’s three years in the saddle as a “transformational era” that has effectively restored the pride, dignity, and economic trajectory of God’s Own State.
Eze Ananaba, an accomplished chemist and longtime advocate for grassroots development, praised the governor’s rigorous scorecard, particularly highlighting the administration’s monumental strides in infrastructure renewal and the revival of critical, long-neglected public assets. He noted that the completion of over 414 road projects spanning more than 860 kilometers, alongside aggressive urban reclamation and the deployment of steady street lighting, has fundamentally altered the socio-economic landscape of major hubs like Aba and Umuahia.
The monarch specifically lauded several landmark legacy projects executed by the Otti administration, which he described as historic turnarounds. Chief among these is the recent partnership with the global hospitality chain Radisson Blu to fully reconstruct and transform the Enyimba International Hotel in Aba —a premier 5-star project that had stood abandoned as an uncompleted shell for over 50 years.
He also commended the governor’s deep commitment to rural health and safety, referencing the strategic flag-off and foundation-laying ceremony for the total overhaul of the 100-bed Okpuala Ngwa General Hospital in Isiala Ngwa North LGA, which will restore vital secondary healthcare services to the former Eastern Ngwa zone. Additionally, the monarch celebrated the commissioning of the iconic Omenuko Bridge over the Igwu River in Arochukwu LGA, which, along with the 30km Ozu Abam–Arochukwu Road, broke a decades-old jinx and permanently eliminated a historic death trap for commuters.

> “Governor Alex Otti has proven that governance is an exact science when driven by vision, integrity, and genuine love for the people,” Eze Ananaba stated. “For generations, our people watched iconic structures like the Enyimba Hotel rot away, while vital facilities like the Okpuala Ngwa General Hospital fell into complete decay. By boldly breathing new life into these abandoned legacy projects and replacing hazardous structures like the old Omenuko Bridge, this administration has rewritten the history of our state.”

The monarch further commended the governor’s strategic focus on agricultural reform, security, and rural empowerment, noting that these initiatives are directly breathing new life into local economies and safeguarding agrarian communities.
Aligning with his long-standing advocacy for the cultural and political positioning of the Igbo nation, the Okahia monarch expressed deep satisfaction with how Governor Otti has elevated the prestige of Abia State both nationally and internationally, restoring investor confidence and stimulating job creation across the region.
While wishing the Governor, his deputy, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, and the entire state executive council a successful consolidation of their mandates, Eze Ananaba urged all Abians, particularly the traditional institution and the business community, to sustain their unalloyed support for the administration.
“As we celebrate three years of visible, verifiable progress, it is my prayer that the Almighty God continues to grant Governor Otti the wisdom, health, and fortitude to guide Abia into a future of permanent prosperity,” the statement concluded.
