Reports indicate that Nigerian Army troops have arrested a suspected bandit popularly known as “Sule Yellow,” a figure who gained notoriety on TikTok for allegedly displaying large sums of cash believed to be linked to ransom payments.
According to information circulating online, the suspect was intercepted by soldiers while returning to a forest hideout after allegedly collecting ransom from the family of a kidnapped victim.
Sule Yellow reportedly built a significant following on TikTok, where he was said to post videos flaunting cash and showcasing a lavish lifestyle. The online content attracted public attention and criticism amid ongoing security challenges and kidnapping incidents across parts of northern Nigeria.
At the time of reporting, the Nigerian Army had not issued an official statement confirming the arrest or providing details of the operation. Authorities have also not publicly disclosed any charges against the suspect.
The development comes as security agencies continue operations against banditry, kidnapping, and other violent crimes in several regions of the country.
