Andrew Carnegie was a self-made steel tycoon and one of the wealthiest businessmen of 19th century who later dedicated his life to philanthropic endeavors. He said
I quote “Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results”
Effective teamwork requires that everyone leads and everyone follows from time to time, creating a powerful dynamic that invites proactive leadership. Our greatest strengthen lies in our diversity and expertise, so let’s bring our diverse expertise for the good of the country. Our individual deferences are well noted and respected here while expecting each and everyone of us to keep to the principles guiding the body.

No doubt, what is everyone’s business is nobody’s business, therefore is high time we rise for this desirable movement to build our nation by ourselves thru our actions and inactions. We can keep complaining from now till next century, unless on our own we take action to build a New Nigeria, no one will do it for us.
Great Minds, I plead and enjoy everyone in this platform to join forces together and see this vision and mission of the body as a must realize for the good of all of us. We must begin to see this moment as the best time to build the society we all will be proud of. Is time to replace complain and nagging with action. This is the time to sing a new song and put ideas and intellectual engagement on the table instead of posting jokes and and irrelevant materials that doesn’t align with the aim and vision of this body. This is not the time to engage in talking bad of the government because it add nothing to the solution. This is the time to go to work and make this happen the way we want it than waiting for the government.
Very important to note here that as we are here, privileged with phones and data to get across the globe, millions of Nigeria are languishing in abject poverty, thousands being thrown out hospital bed because of money and a whole family will be going to bed tonight in an empty stomach and if you think their problem is not your business then you have no business to be here.
Therefore, there is no substitute for personal ownership, responsibility and self-control. Accountability breeds quality performance and empowering solutions. When we take ownership for a problem and accept responsibility for our outcomes, we become agents of change as opposed to victims of change. When we resist the temptation to blame others or make excuses including unecesary complains and nagging, then we become part of the solution, not the problem.
Finally Great Minds, never has there been such weighty responsibility on the shoulders of young people in Nigeria. Never has there been the influence in the hands of young people like the influence we carry now. But for us to reap the dividends we longed for, it is up to us to make sure that influence is channelled correctly and directed towards relevant issues that affect not only ourselves, but generations after us. This can only be achieved if we come together as a people and begin to address the challenges before us which is in liberation with the aims and objectives of this great body.
Thank you everyone and remain blessed. From time to time we will keep you updated as we advance together the mission and vision of this historical organization.
