Nigerian comedian and actor, Julius Agwu, has opened up on one of the after-effects of his brain surgery in 2015, revealing that it affected his sexual function.

Agwu made the revelation on the recent episode of the Beer Parlour Talk Show, which was uploaded on Saturday.

The comedian was speaking on how the surgery impacted his body, career and personal life when the host asked if the brain condition and subsequent surgery affected other parts of his body.

Responding in pidgin, Agwu said, “After I do am, prick no dey work again now. He no dey work.”

The discussion afterwards focused on the part of the brain that was operated upon, with fellow guests on the show, including Mr Patrick, explaining how a nerve connected to the brain and affected during the procedure could be responsible for the condition.

Agwu underwent brain surgery in the United States in 2015 after doctors discovered three tumours in his brain, one of which was said to be the size of a golf ball.

The Rivers State-born entertainer has in the past spoken publicly about his health battle and how it stalled his career and changed his life.

In the latest interview, which came towards the end of the show, Agwu also reflected on his contribution to the comedy industry in Nigeria, particularly his role in pioneering music-comedy.

“Music comedy na me form am o, that is to tell you how my brain dey work,” he said.

The comedian later broke into tears as he recounted feelings of betrayal and abandonment during his trying period.

“God wey I dey serve, anybody wey get hand for wetin happen to me. I go dey look. My friends deserted me. They stopped talking to me, many of them. It is well,” he stated.
