Hon Munachim Alozie, member representing Obingwa-Osisioma-Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Special Committee on Recovery of Funds in Ministries, Agencies and Financial Institutions, has expressed deep sadness over the tragic loss of Nigerian Air Force personnel and other passengers in the NAF 931 aircraft crash in Ondo State on Monday.
The Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft, which was on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos, crashed in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State. The NAF subsequently confirmed that all 25 persons on board, comprising five crew members and 20 passengers, lost their lives.
Alozie extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, colleagues and loved ones of the deceased, describing the incident as a painful loss to the nation.
He commiserated with the Nigerian Air Force and the entire Armed Forces of Nigeria, noting the courage and sacrifices of military personnel who put their lives on the line in the service of the country.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and for God to grant their families the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
