On Saturday April 25th 2026, Ugwunagbo Local Government Area was agog with a historic political ritual performed in honour of Rt Hon Bishop Kennedy Njoku ,the foremost APC Contender for Obingwa/Ugwunagbo/Osisioma Federal Constituency come 2027.
Bishop and his formidable Team were in the LGA for a consultative meeting with Ugwunagbo APC Chieftains, ahead of the party primaries.
The meeting was duly convene and well attended by the body of LGA Executive,the 10 Wards executive bodies and the Leaders from the 10 wards of the LGA.
Hon Prince Enyinnaya Ubani who led Bishop Kennedy’s Team ,unveiled his dossier , his Parliamentary wealth of experience and his outstanding performance at a very sensitive committee of appropriation at Abia State House of Assembly .
The climax of the event was Rt Hon Bishop’s formal declaration to represent the good and hardworking people of Obingwa/Ugwunagbo/Osisioma Federal Constituency at the Green Chambers in 2027.
The former speaker and his untiring Team had performed similar programme at Obingwa and Osisioma Ngwa the two of the 3 components parts of the Federal Constituency and Ugwunagbo visit was the grand finale.
Rt Hon Kennedy Njoku in his address reaffirmed his determination to restore the lost faith of the constituents in the representatives and solicited their support for nomination and for total solidarity to emerge the representative in 2027 general elections .
By all parameters of assessment ,Rt Hon Bishop Kennedy Njoku is that illustrious son of the constituency capable at this point in time to resuscitate the constituency in comatose and do the needed yoeman’s job required to wipe the tears of caused by over 10 years ill-fated representation
