President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Nnanna Uzor Kalu as commissioner representing the south-east geopolitical zone in the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC).

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the council chambers of the State House, shortly before the commencement of the federal executive council (FEC) meeting.
Kalu’s confirmation was delayed following a petition challenging his nomination in March.
The senate eventually approved his appointment after the committee on ethics, code of conduct and public petitions, as well as the committee on establishment and public service, cleared him of any wrongdoing.
