The Labour Party in Abia State says momentum within the party is growing following the formal collection of nomination forms by serving members of the House of Representatives ahead of forthcoming elections.

In a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Iroegbu Emenike, the party listed the lawmakers as Ginger Onwusibe, Obi Aguocha, Amobi Godwin Ogah, Ibe Okwara Osonwa, and Alex Ikwechegh.
The party said the lawmakers will complete and submit their forms in line with the party’s constitutional procedures and guidelines.

Speaking on the development, the Abia State Chairman of the Labour Party, Peter Azubuike, assured members that the party would ensure peaceful and transparent processes leading to the primaries.
He added that the party remains committed to unity, internal democracy, and people-oriented leadership in Abia State.
