Etugo Ogah has officially emerged as the governorship candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2027 Abia State governorship election, marking a significant development in the state’s political landscape ahead of the polls.
Ogah, a respected businessman and industrialist, hails from Uturu in Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State. He is the younger brother of former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah.
He serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Etugo Oil and Petrochemical Company Limited, a company with interests in the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors. Over the years, he has built a reputation in the private sector through his entrepreneurial ventures and investments.
His emergence as the NDC governorship candidate is expected to add a new dimension to the race for the Abia Government House, as political parties continue to position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
