Passengers on a flight were thrown into panic after a man reportedly rushed towards an emergency exit and attempted to open the door while the aircraft was airborne.

Videos circulating online showed passengers standing in the aisle as cabin crew members and fellow travellers moved swiftly to restrain the man near the emergency exit.
Some passengers were seen filming the incident with their phones, while others watched in apparent shock as the crew struggled to bring the situation under control.
According to a social media post accompanying the footage, the man suddenly moved towards the emergency exit, triggering alarm inside the cabin.
Additional videos showed a tense atmosphere as crew members intervened and prevented the situation from escalating.
The man was eventually restrained, although details of what prompted his actions remained unclear.
It was also not immediately established whether he managed to open the emergency exit, the identity of the man, the airline involved, the flight number or the aircraft’s destination.
There was equally no immediate official confirmation on whether the man was handed over to authorities after the aircraft landed.
The incident has drawn attention to aviation security, coming amid heightened concern following a separate incident involving a flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv.
In that case, the co-pilot of Flight FZ1073 was accused of attacking the captain with an emergency crash axe and attempting to hijack the aircraft.
The United Arab Emirates Attorney-General described the incident as an attempted “terrorist act”.
The co-pilot, an Omani national, allegedly attacked and wounded the captain before passengers overpowered him. Another crew member subsequently assisted in landing the aircraft safely in Saudi Arabia.
Reports from the United States and Israel alleged that the co-pilot had planned to crash the aircraft into Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport or a high-rise building in the city.
