A fresh war of words erupted this Thursday over the interpretation of the Supreme Court ruling on the Peoples Democratic Party leadership crisis.

Spokesman for the Senator Samuel Anyanwu camp, Jungudo Mohammed, insisted that the judgment is settled, while rival voices advanced a sharply different view.
Jungudo maintained that the apex court clearly upheld the decisions of the lower courts, dismissing claims that the ruling addressed issues of party suspensions or handed control to the Board of Trustees.
He rejected attempts to invalidate his camp’s actions, describing the opposition’s shifting arguments as “academic exercises” that hold no weight following the party’s recent convention.
The Anyanwu camp concluded with a warning to the press against labeling the party as “factionalized,” threatening judicial action against those who continue to do so in public discourse.
